Jasper is one of the main antagonists of Blicksen's Tails vol. 1. He is one of the dogs Owley recruits to fight Yodis and his pack.
Appearance[]
He is a tall and slender hound with long, floppy ears and slight drooping jowls. Jasper's fur is short and mostly black with tan markings above his eyes, around his mouth, and on all four paws. His eyes are a deep green.
Personality[]
Jasper believes himself to be a charming individual. He claims to have several friends and connections throughout the city, although in some cases these are just acquaintances. Jasper loves being in the presence of those that impress him, as he gains a sense of importance by doing so. He can be quite snappy and aggressive at times. He is highly defensive of territory and food as a result of his training as a guard dog. Jasper is manipulative and a bad influence on his more innocent friend and neighbor, Gabbi. This is demonstrated in the way he describes her as "easy to convince." He is a powerful and vicious fighter.
Biography[]
Jasper was raised as an outdoor guard dog and spent most of his time chained up in his owner’s yard. Owley first met Jasper when he and Asphalt the bird were out looking for dogs in the neighborhood. Jasper initially lunged at the cat, barking violently at him to get away from his yard. Owley was unfazed and even mocked him when he saw that he was chained to a doghouse. Owley then tried to convince Jasper to help him fight Yodis by telling him about his friend who gives him bacon. Jasper was suspicious at first but gave in when he smelled bacon on the cat. After being freed from his chain by Asphalt, Jasper took them to meet his neighbor, Gabbi. Gabbi quickly gave in to Owley’s pleas for help and both dogs left their homes to join this new gang. Jasper and Gabbi traveled throughout the city with Owley while preparing for the battle. When word spread that Yodis had a third dog in his pack, they immediately set out to find one of their own. Owley turned to Jasper, who led them to an old acquaintance of his named Sugi. When Sugi refused to join them, they recruited a stray Shiba Inu instead.
When the day of the battle arrived, Jasper was eager to attack Yodis’s pack. He fought aggressively against Orak, but was eventually defeated. During the height of the battle, Looper appeared and captured him along with Gabbi and Sadie.
Relationships[]
Jasper and Gabbi are neighbors. While Gabbi considers Jasper a friend, he sees her as someone he can peer-pressure and manipulate for his own amusement. Later it is revealed that he secretly wanted to be closer with her.
Jasper seems to have genuine respect and admiration for Owley.
Trivia[]
Jasper is a reimagined version of an older character, originally named Bob.
